When my grand nephew turned 5 this Summer, my daughter asked me to make a piñata for him. I did. I made a small beach ball, maybe the most basic piñata I've ever made. The Birthday boy lives far away and I wasn't present for this celebration, but I learned that he loved his piñata and had a great time breaking it with his sister and my grandkids.
You never know what might trigger the imagination of a child. Let me tell you, this piñata must've made an impression on this very sweet, creative young man.
This Thanksgiving weekend he came visit with his family and guess what he brought along... his own version of a piñata to share with his cousins.
I think I have pretty serious competition with this child! LOL
